The waitresses wear matching cute green dresses as uniforms, there's a mix of Moroccan/French inspired dishes and some from elsewhere such as the tuna ceviche with cabbage, coriander, rice noodles, toasted sesame and jalapenos pictured above, and they offer great coffee and lovely organic teas (they come with sugar syrup for sweetening!) - but at Cafe Gitane you come for the atmosphere. So far, my favourite place to eat in New York.Cafe Gitane
